As busy professionals trying to achieve great skin, we found the skincare industry to be both overly complicated and disappointingly generic. There are endless products, miracle-promising ingredients, and lots of hype all bottled to be sold to you without knowing one thing about you or your skin.
PROVEN Is Different.
Our female-founded company is disrupting the skincare industry by formulating products for the unique and ever-changing needs of your skin, life, and environment.
This new approach was conceived when co-founder & CEO Ming Zhao became frustrated with her own skincare journey. Told she had “difficult” skin, Ming spent a small fortune trying different products that were full of false promises and exotic-sounding ingredients that didn’t deliver consistent results. Her entrepreneurial spirit ultimately led her to future co-founder Dr. Amy Yuan, a Computational Physicist from Stanford University, who had just begun using data science to help solve her own personal skin concerns. They immediately knew they had an idea that would forever change the future of skincare.
Their shared passion to help people find efficacious skincare for every skin concern became The Skin Genome Project™ which is the world’s largest skincare database and the science behind every unique PROVEN™ formulation.
Through pregnancy and motherhood and several cross-country moves, Ming & Amy experienced first-hand how skin needs and concerns could change dramatically for people over time, which is why they took a holistic approach, ensuring that PROVEN was adaptive skincare. Adaptive means that PROVEN™ skincare formulations evolve as you do—through life changes, aging, seasonal changes, relocations to different climates, and even motherhood. Skin is always changing and skincare should keep up.
